How to get there:
From Tortoli take the SS125 south until the second Jerzu junction (after Cardedu and before Tertenia). Follow signs for Jerzu until entering the town upon where you go around the roundabout to take the road leading above Jerzu to Ulassai. Continue until arriving at the T-Junction where the art museum is on your right.

Description:
Perched on the edge of a plateau and overlooking the glorious Pardu valley is the art museum of Maria Lai, Ogliastra's very own and world famous artist. Many of her works have been personally donated in order to maximise the towns status as her proud origins and inspirations.
Three main buildings house her works, and also welcome performance art pieces and various other demonstrations within the art community.
Maria Lai worked with many materials including clay and stone but is probably most famous for her textile creations. She designed the mouflone logo back in 1981 and it grew to be synonymous with Ulassai and the great lady herself.
Her works are absorbing and impressive and this fine museum exhibits them with a calm pride.
The museum also has a fine collection of books and a reading area to relax and browse through something that grabs your attention.
