How to Get There: From the south take the SS125 north to Tortoli then head west on the SS198 to Lanusei passing through Ilbono and climbing into and out of Lanusei, continue on the SS198 heading north following signs to Elini, Arzana and Villagrande. The SS198 becomes the SS389 roughly 3km after leaving Lanusei. Continue around the sharp left hand bend towards Gairo and after approx. 1km you will turn left, signposted "Seleni", to the nature park. Follow the trail past the rest point on the left and the play area on the right. The road then splits into two dirt tracks. Park and walk the left hand trail for approx. 100m, the nuragic site is more or less infront of you on the left hand side.
From Nuoro take the main road SS389 towards Lanusei until the junction for the SS198 to Gairo. Turn right here and continue for approx. 1km until turning left, signposted "Seleni", to the nature park. Follow the trail past the rest point on the left and play area on the right, the road then splits into two dirt tracks. Park and walk the left hand trail for approx. 100m, the nuragic site is more or less infront of you on the right hand side.
Description: The nuragic site is set next to the woods of Seleni and overlooks the mountain town of Lanusei. It consists of a tower with nuragic huts all around and even a "Sacred Well" can be found too. Close to the main path through the area are the smaller archeological examples of Nuragic life with Tomba dei Giganti (Tombs of the Giants) on show to visitors.
