How to get there:
- From the south take the SS125 north to Tortoli, exiting before Tertenia and heading west following the signs Perdasdefogu. Very easy to get to.
- From Nuoro take the main road SS398 south to Lanusei until the road becomes the SS198 to Lanusei, continue through Lanusei on this road, upon exiting the town turn right staying high and keeping Loceri on your left following signs to Barisardo. Continue on this road until the main road SS125 south to Cagliari, turn right here and continue past Barisardo until Cardedu, go through Cardedu and turn left onto towards Cagliari on the SS125 again, continue south past Tertenia and exit right following the signs to Perdasdefogu.
Description:
- A picturesque town with many archeoligical sites for visitors to see in the surrounding territory including nuragic towers and tombs. The old church of San Sebastiano is a popular historical attraction as are the nearby roman remains. The territory offers some of the best walking and trekking in the whole of Ogliastra including the national park of Bruncu Santoru, the forest of Santa Barbara and the Geology and Mineral Park of Sardinia.
