How to get there:
- From the south take the SS125 north to Tortoli then head west on the SS198 to Lanusei until arriving in Ilbono.
- From Nuoro take the SS389 to Lanusei, upon entering Lanusei take the SS198 east to Tortoli until arriving in Ilbono.
Description:
- A quaint and traditional town rising up towards the larger town of Lanusei, there are alot of nuragic sites in the area with the most impressive being that of Scerì, with its accessible tower and awesome viewpoint. Ilbono is quite "picture postcard" and boasts a very unpolluted feel to the place. Olive oil is produced here in abundance and the town has its own press.
